Valley Lourika
Around 19 miles from Marrakesh, the road enters a lush, green valley that extends over 20 miles and ascends to high altitude. Here you’ll discover picturesque Berber villages perched on the mountainside, overlooking mountain streams. The road ends at Setti-Fatma village, a stopover in the midst of hundred-year-old walnut trees, where you’ll dine on a succulent tagine after climbing one or more of the seven waterfalls. The first is a 20-minute walk away along a mountain path that runs along the riverside. The others are harder to reach, but not impossible.

Imlil / MontToubkal
Around one hour from Marrakesh, after crossing the Moulay Ibrahim gorges, you’ll find the village of Asni.
The minibus will then take you along the track to the village of Imlil, a remote village tucked away at the bottom of these superb gorges, at the foot of the highest summit in North Africa, Mount Toubkal (13,671
feet). Our guide will meet you there and accompany you on a 1h 15min mountain walk. Lunch will take place at Berber guide Mohamed’s house, which offers spect acular views over the valley. The return trip takes the road through the Kik plateau, through the extraordinary landscape of the Atlas Mountains. Lunch at the guide’s house is 150 Dirhams per person, payable in cash to the
guide.
Transport costs will be added to the bill for your stay at the Riad.

The tour departs from the Riad reception at 9.30am and returns at around 5pm.
Walking shoes required (trainers/tennis shoes). Decent physical fitness is required for the 1h15 walk. There
is an option to ride a mule in the event of difficulty walking for more than one hour.

Essaouira
A three drive takes us to a spectacular location on the Atlantic coast. Here we find the city of Essaouira, fortified by the French military engineer Vauban and rising up from a rocky peninsular to defy t he waves.
An ancient Portuguese city, Essaouira is full of surprises with unique architecture, blue-shuttered houses, crenellated fortifications and cannons pointing out to the ocean.
Until the 18th century, the city was known as Mogador.
Enjoy a stroll amongst the multicoloured fishing boats before attending the fish auction and sampling the fish, calamari, and shellfish. You’re sure to fall in love with this beautiful, tranquil city. You can also take the opportunity to visit one of the women’s associations producing Argan oil.
Transport for 2 people €60 pp. Another option is by bus with a departure every two hours. Tickets must be purchased before departure (around €12 pp one way)

Ait Ben Haddou/Ouarzazate..
Around 109 miles from Marrakesh, the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah is one of Morocco’s most beautiful places
and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The day is one of plentiful discovery with the crossing of the Tichka peak (7415 feet), and its varied
landscapes.
The city of Ouarzazate is a gateway to the far south, famous for its film studios where an array of films are shot each year. The trip takes a minimum of three hours.
